We will use this blog as a place to kick off from and use during/after our Web 2.0 workshops. I will place all the relevant links here and you are welcome to add your own.  The aim of the School 2.0 workshops are to highlight the use of all the Web 2.0 tools for teaching and learning and just to generally take time out to have fun and explore the tools and virtual worlds that our learners love so much!

The following quote puts School 2.0 in perspective for me….
Media literacy is the notion that learning how to use new media technologies, online collaboration tools, personal publishing and live video streaming gear is not just about being cool and hip but it is a set of fundamental skills every young person should be equipped with to be able to navigate the digital realities increasingly surrounding us.”

So, by embracing these new technologies in ur normal teaching and learning, we will be preparing them for their future world…..

The questions we will ask during the workshop are…

Are you on the “same page” as your learners? Do you know their virtual identities? Or do you still use old pedagogics to teach a new generation who can Mxit in their pockets and socialise online in Facebook……? What problems do Web 2.0 pose to our learners. How are we going to overcome it?
