Set up an e-mail using Gmail

E-mail has become the key to actively participating in online life. You cannot join any social media platforms unless you do not have an e-mail address. Lots of teachers have school addresses which they access infrequently, but if we want to create a personal learning network, we need to have the key…an e-mail address that we actually check regularly. As most cell phones nowadays have built in Gmail facilities and as Gmail allows you access to so many other social media tools (Googledocs, Picasa, Flickr) you cannot NOT have  a gmail account…so get going….
